This Charger 500 is an original representation, and underwent a heavy on-frame partial body restoration in 2018/2019. Exterior is in wonderful condition, with new PPG Period Correct factory GoManGo High Impact Orange paint. Interior is original with some new refreshed pieces. The engine is the original 318, and while not rebuilt, has had some parts replaced, coil, distributor, starter, etc. Engine will be getting a full rebuild in a year or two.
Facts: The Charger was changed slightly for the 1970 model year. This was the last year of the 2nd generation Charger and featured a large wraparound chrome bumper and the grille was no longer divided in the middle. New “High Impact” colors were given names, such as Top Banana & GoManGo.
Interior changes included new high-back bucket seats, the ignition was moved from the dash to the steering column (as with all Chrysler products this year).
